Welcome to Plakias by Locals. By booking, renting, or participating in any of our services, you agree to the following Terms of Use.
Please read them carefully before making a reservation.
1. General Conditions
The services provided include the rental of motorbikes and buggies, as well as participation in guided ATV tours.
All rentals and tours are subject to availability and confirmation.
By using our services, you declare that you meet all eligibility requirements (age, driving license, health conditions, etc.).
2. Driving License
A valid driving license in original - no copy is required for buggy and motorbike rentals.
CAT B for Buggy and ATV, minimum driver’s age 21, must hold the driving license for at least one year.
CAT A for Motorbike, minimum driver’s age 23, must hold the driving license for at least one year.
No refunds will be given for rentals rejected due to non-show of a valid driving licence. Faxed or photocopied licenses are not acceptable.
It is the driver's responsibility to ensure that he/ she has the appropriate driving licence.
Customers from NON-EU-Countries please ask for acceptance of their driving license and which documents have to be shown.
Additionally the Renter has to show a valid ID-Card or valid Passport.
Helmets and safety equipment provided by Plakias by Locals must be worn at all times.
Participants must be in good physical and mental health to operate or take part in activities.
3. Rental Policy
One rental day is 24 hours.
Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at pickup.
The renter is responsible for any damage, loss, or traffic violations during the rental period.
Vehicles must not be used under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substances affecting driving ability, for racing, off-road use (outside designated routes), or carrying more passengers than allowed.
The renter must immediately inform Plakias by Locals in case of accident, breakdown, or theft.
4. Insurance
Insurance includes:
Civil liability for bodily injuries to third parties per victim: 1.300.000,00€
Material damage per accident to third parties: 1.300.000,00€
Legal protection: 1.500,00€
CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) with an excess payable amount in case of a damage.
Self-risk Buggy: 1.000€
Self-risk ATV and Motorbike: 800€
The renter is liable for damages not covered by insurance (e.g., reckless driving, driving under influence, negligence).
Personal travel/health insurance is the responsibility of the participant.
Plakias by Locals is not liable for injuries, accidents, loss of personal belongings, or delays caused by external factors (weather, road conditions, third parties).
5. Tours & Activities
Tour itineraries may change due to weather, safety, or operational reasons.
Participants must follow the guide’s instructions at all times.
Plakias by Locals reserves the right to refuse participation if safety rules are not respected.
Refunds are not provided for participants removed from a tour due to unsafe or inappropriate behavior.
6. Payment Methods

Deposit to a bank account:
Prepay your order to one of the following accounts of the banks we collaborate with.

7. Booking & Cancellation
A reservation is confirmed only after receiving a deposit or full payment.
Cancellation policy:
Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the activity → full refund.
Cancellations within 48 hours → no refund. No-shows are non-refundable.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece. Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the Greek courts.

This helps us to process your application or reservation, to contact you if we have any problems with your request or to send you a voucher confirmation or receipt for your purchase.
Users who are uncertain about which Personal Data is mandatory are welcome to contact the Owner. Users are welcome to see the information held about them at any time and to make the necessary amendments to keep the information up to date.
